Therapeutic Riding - How You Can Help!

Wayfarer Farm Equestrian Products will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of our merchandise to the Therapeutic Riding Program at the Carriage Barn in Newton, NH. By purchasing products from Wayfarer Farm you will be donating to a scholarship for a child or adult in need of Therapeutic riding lessons.

Horses are a source of pleasure and enrichment in our lives and we are blessed. They can also provide tremendous help too many handicapped people, both young and old, by utilizing the movement of the horse and specialized activities to maximize the therapeutic benefits to a ride. It is often recommended by physicians, physical therapist and speech therapist to improve flexibility, balance, muscle strength, coordination, and posture and to simulate the central nervous system. But most important is it gives the rider a sense of accomplishment and joy they are not able to find anywhere else due to their handicap.

We are so pleased to be able to "give-back" to this wonderful program the Carriage Barn offers to so many that are not able to afford these important treatments because insurance generally does not cover or the family cannot afford Therapeutic riding lessons.

The Carriage Barn is a North American Riding for the Handicapped (NARHA) Operating center member. Their instructors are experienced equestrians specially trained and certified through NARHA. The Carriage Barn Therapy Program is a 501(c)3 Not for Profit Organization. For more information about their programs, contact The Carriage Barn at 603-378-0140, email carriage-barn@comcast.net, or check their website at www.carriage-barn.com.

Thanks for helping.....

Billy & Kathi Dunn
